A new chapter is beginning for Dudukist. We have updated our main website and our school website, and we are putting renewed energy into the project. We look forward to sharing more with you — through lessons, articles and live music.
The people, lessons, conversations and love of the duduk behind this project are still at its heart. Ahead of us are further website improvements, new material and more reasons to come back and see what is happening.
Two updated websites
On our main website, you can explore the school, meet the musicians, choose an instrument, read articles and browse the concert listings. We have brought the different parts of the project together so you can find what interests you, whether that is lessons, music or help choosing your first duduk.
Our separate school website has also been updated. You can see how lessons work, meet the teacher and choose a learning format. If you have been thinking about taking lessons, we invite you to have a look.
The video guide is available now
You can watch our video guide on the website: ten lessons introducing the instrument, reed preparation, breathing, playing position and playing techniques. Each lesson has its own page, making it easy to return to a topic and watch at your own pace. The videos are in Russian.
It is another way to get to know the duduk and explore our learning materials. If watching them makes you want to study with a teacher, we would be happy to welcome you to the school.
More updates here and on social media
Our social media pages are next. We will be refreshing their appearance and posting more often about life at the school, sharing recordings, introducing musicians and showing you what we are working on. Links to our pages are at the bottom of the website, so you can follow us wherever suits you best.
There is more to come on the website too: articles, videos and news from Dudukist. We will share updates as they are ready and tell you about the next steps.
A little about live music
A small preview of what is ahead: more concert announcements. We will be sharing news of upcoming performances by our musicians and opportunities to hear the duduk live. Look for details and confirmed dates in our concert listings and future posts.
Thank you to everyone who stays in touch — taking lessons, choosing our instruments, listening, reading and recommending us to friends. We are glad to continue this story with you.
