A master of the duduk, zurna and clarinet, an Armenian musician, composer, connoisseur and promoter of Armenian national music. He performs in concerts around the world.

Norayr has collaborated with show-business stars such as Avraam Russo, Glukoza, Soso Pavliashvili, Vladimir Presnyakov, Irina Allegrova and others. He has repeatedly soloed with the Symphony Orchestra of the Russian Ministry of Defence and played on the soundtrack of the film 'Night Watch'.

In 2000, Georgy Ananov, host of the show 'Archaeology of Sound' (NTV International), noticed Norayr, prepared a special episode about the Armenian duduk and shvi, and invited the musician to be the lead of the show's 13th episode.

In 2007 Norayr recorded his first solo album of works by Armenian composers and folk music. In some pieces he plays solo parts on three instruments at once: the duduk, shvi and zurna.
