In this article we share some thoughts on the further development awaiting the duduk's musical repertoire and the modernisation of the instrument itself.
A new vector of development
Earlier developers had already improved the musical and acoustic characteristics and models of the Armenian duduk. The new vector of development involves using certain physical-acoustic principles and simple formulas that make listening to the duduk especially pleasant.
Calculating future models
A careful study of the instrument's properties makes it possible to create more practical, modernised duduk models — suitable both for traditional melodies and for professional compositions.
Hence the need arose to analyse the modernisation of the duduk and its tuning, as well as to calculate precisely the parameters of future models based on its frequency characteristics.
